I got a chuckle out of Biden's comment to the struggling Americans to hang in there and was wondering if anyone else thought the same thing. He also commented on the President's State of the Union address about his plan to invest in education and innovation. I found it interesting when he talked on how it only makes sense that the only way to decrease the deficit is to improve our economy through new innovations and better education. I find it interesting the talk of investing in education while Michigan is cutting their budget by cutting funding to Colleges and expectiall NMU.
I don't understand how these tax cuts help the economy. At first they were enacted in 2001 and 2003. Now they were extended. If they worked so well, then why did our economy tank. How do we invest when we do not have the dollars to do so? It does not make sense. We should have rolled back these tax cuts not extended them.
