I was surprised to learn the Bart Stupak was retiring. I think that citizens are disappointed in his stance on abortion concerning the new health care bill. I think he's a great representative for Michigan and he has done many great things for our state.
The sudden retirement of Bart Stupak was a shock for me. Stupak has been my congressman for my entire life and it will be odd seeing someone else fill his seat in Michigan's 1st Congressional district. Hopefully whoever wins th election will put as much time and effort that Mr. Stupak did in his 18 years in Washington.
