Many observers believe that Lansing policy makers will not address the budget deficit and tax reform until AFTER the November elections--some believe that they won't do anything until the new Governor and legislature is sworn in in January.

I wasn't aware that granholm was trying to reduce the sales tax. That is bizarre. I thought we needed more money. I don't see how this is going to help us. I like the part about the fact that funding for developing new industry means that we are avoiding tax reform. That is really what we need. And then back to education. I think everything they plan to do with this is good to expose. Investing in our future is the only way to go, but thats not whats happening. He's right reality has escaped law makers.

ReplyDeleteI agree education should be the most important part of the funding. How else was citizens be able to contribute to society?
