Obama's Second Year Widened the Partisan Divide on How He Is Seen

  1. Fairly true to its title, the article portrays how President Obama's approval rating shows a very wide partisan divide. However, the article claims that, "... Obama's 68 point gap in his second year is not far behind. The gap for Obama in his first year in office was 65 points."

It is fairly obvious that our partisan divide has been growing for awhile now. This is due to plenty of different reasons, but at the heart of this problem (or lack of problem as some see it)is the lack of compromise. If both parties would do a little more give and take (or simply do so in a more public manor) maybe the people of the U.S. would follow their example too.

In the end the partisan divide is large, and there are tons of reasons to explain it.
