The new amendment to the Michigan constitution will make it possible for Michigan citizens to take control over corruption in government. Unfortunately, corruption is a simple fact of the American political system, and therefore by limits being placed on convicted politicians, the level of corruption may decrease. The amendment will increase democracy for citizens, although in my opinion, I don't believe any politician convicted for corruption should ever be allowed to serve in office again.
