I believe this particular article makes several good points. With our federal and state deficits as high as they are, I agree that it will take more than one approach in order to not only strengthen our economy but also stabilize our deficit. Making budget cuts is one thing, but it is also necessary to generate a profit somehow. Cutting spending here or there or increasing certain taxes alone simply will not generate the revenue needed to get out of debt. Therefore, a combination of several aspects will need to come into play when dealing with this ridiculous deficit. What are the other possibilities? Prison spending, health care, ect...
